The article entitled "Trade-offs in the stimulus package" was written by Madison Powers. The basic argument the author is trying to make is that congress has been delaying passing the stimulus package. As stated in Powers article he mentions "One trade-off is between goals of efficiency and ideals of equity. The second is the need to strike a balance between infrastructure and other activities that also stimulate economic growth." Powers mentioned that the stimulus package cost 1 trillion dollars but it is hard for the majority of people to learn how to spend our money wisely. Therefore there is the question circulating on whether or not congress will agree to pass the stimulus package even though it will really help the people of america.
