The "Revenge of the Glut" was written by Paul Krugman. It was published in the New York Times. The audience that it is trying to reach is those who do not understand the economic breakdown. The article was written to tell how the US got into such debt. The author also tells how he believes that the recession started. The basic argument is that the government could see some of the debt coming but no one really realized how bad it would be. There has been several other times when a recession a gone but never as severe as the one that the US is in now. There really is no good way of getting out the global economy without hurting other countries. It is a bad situation that will not have a good outcome.
